Thursday, July 29th @ Evergreen Park, 4-7 pm

Thursday, July 29, 2021
4-7 pm
Evergreen Park, 1400 Park Ave, Bremerton WA

Music is back at the market today with Fred Meyer, the “Hurdy Gurdy Man”! If you’re unfamiliar with this interesting instrument, check out this video: He’ll be playing for tips so be sure to bring cash to reward him for his talents and his time!

The Parks Department will be with us with information about becoming a Creative District. The Creative District Program works to help communities throughout the state thrive. Certification as a Creative District can bolster our creative economy, enhance vitality, and improve livability. This program provides a platform for artists and creatives to help develop their local economy. Come find out more at the market!

We’ll also have The Kitsap Community Food Co-op. They are a community-owned grocery store that serves the community’s needs, not the needs of big corporations. They source their products as close to home as possible, and are the first daily, year-round outlet for Kitsap County farms. By sourcing locally, selling sustainable and natural products, and sending any profits back to the community, food co-ops keep food money in the local economy, instead of heading straight out of it. Stop by their booth to learn more!

Farmers Market Nutrition Program Applications
Applications are still available for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program! This program provides $40 worth of checks for eligible seniors to use at farmers markets throughout Kitsap County. Stop by the Market Booth to pick up an application or go to

Kid’s Market Club
Today is the last day to turn in July’s activity, “Wonderful Worms”. The first Thursday of June, July, August, and September, we’ll have a Grab and Go Activity for Kids OR Parents to pick up and take home. Kids ages 3-12 complete their activity at home and return to our Kids Club booth, show us it’s been completed, and receive $4 in special Kids Market Club BUCKS on ANY Thursday for the REST of that month. The beginning of each month starts a new Kids Market Bucks Activity. Kids Market Bucks can be used to buy fresh fruits, veggies, and edible plant starts. Kids who complete ALL 4 activities will receive a special reward at the end of the season.
