WSU Kitsap Small Farms and 4-H are offering a series of “Preserving the Harvest” classes at the Silverdale Community Center on Saturdays and Tuesdays through October to teach you everything you need to know about preserving the beautiful Pacific Northwest produce we’re lucky enough to enjoy.
The Jam classes were this past week – sorry I didn’t get you that info sooner! But, you still have plenty of time to register for pickles (Aug 14th & 17th), pressure canning (Sept. 21st & 25th), salsa class (Oct. 2nd), and apple preservation (Oct. 16th & 19th). For more information, visit kitsap.wsu.edu.
Can’t get enough of the fruit, veggies, food products, or crafts in the Market? If you run out of cash, find the Market Manager (she’s the one in the chicken apron) to use your debit or credit card at the Market. Recipients of food stamps can use their benefits at the Market, too!
